SARAH LOUISE RICKETTS
Sarah Louise Ricketts was born in Essex England in 1956 her childhood was spent drawing, painting, writing, knitting, sewing and creating embroidery. She migrated with her family to Australia in 1965 at the age of 9. Sarah has not only adjusted to her initial relocation, she has married, had children and moved throughout the Middle East, but her passion for textiles has never waived. Her comprehension of landscape, which surely must derive from her first impressions of Australia, still prevail throughout her work today. “Everything I do seems to end up with a foreground, a background and a sky” Sarah's current work is on tour in Japan and France and the Netherlands and will travel trough the Middle East before ending in the United States.
