Welcome to Appleton Street Studios website
Established in 2005 by artists Sandra Bardas and Jeff Martin, the Appleton Street studio complex located within the pulse of inner city Melbourne, was created for professional and emerging artists.
For artists who are sincere about their art practice, Appleton Street Studios welcomes you to our professional home that oozes with a whole lot of heart, and art.
The collective group of artists at Appleton Street Studios is talented and diverse and, as you will see here we provide a description of each artist and their practice, as well as information on their gallery representation, exhibitions and special events. We have even created web-links to external web pages to make your journey through this website one that will provide support and a following for our artists.
Comprising 16 individual and secure workspaces complemented by comfortable and appealing communal areas, the studios at 53 Appleton Street, Richmond are unique and come with resources aplenty.
And in case you are wondering about our Appleton Street Studios (ASS) logo? It is a donkey or ass - a workhorse. An expression of our thinking: that hard work is the key to success in any endeavour, and blinkers can keep you from distraction. Donkeys can be stubborn, but with patience and time they can achieve much.
